New Work - Night Town
It's festival time in Night Town! Somewhere in the world there lies a
great forest, hidden away in this forest grows a tree of unknown age.
The inhabitants of this tree appear visible to the human eye only once
every 23 years when they hold a festival to celebrate something long
forgotten.
Are they celebrating tonight?

New Work - Jellicity
I have just completed this personal piece of work called 'Jellicity'.
I thought that 'jellicity' would be a real word, referring to how
jellified something was (similar to elasticity), but apparently not. So
next time you make some jelly and a friend comments upon its lack of
jellicity, you know where the term comes from. Additionally it can refer
to, as in this case, a city inside a jellyfish.

.Dock Illustrations
I recently created these designs for an article in a free paper called
.Dock (an abbreviation of Document of Creativity in Kobe). .Dock is a
paper that documents design related activities in Kobe, a city appointed
a City of Design by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization).

New Work - Jurassic Love
This is a new piece of personal work I have just finished called
'Jurassic Love'. The image represents a fictional (as far as I know)
love story between two Diplodocus (Diplodoci?). As we all now know that
love story doesn't have a particularly happy ending.

New Work - Spiderlins
I have just completed this new image, observing the life of a rather
musical family of Arachnids. I was interested in creating an image with
spiders and was inspired by the many interesting shapes that exist in
the wild and those yet to be discovered!

New Work - Bat Cave
Here is some new work I have just completed, entitled 'Bat Cave'. This
particular bat cave, however, does not feature any ageing British actors
dressed as butlers. (please click image to enlarge):

Victorian Machines - 'The Bobby"
I have recently been experimenting with bringing my illustration to life
through animation. Here is my first (very brief) attempt. It is called
'The Bobby' and is based on one of my older illustrations of the same
name. It features a petty thief's attempts at escaping from a rather
menacing looking policing device in an alternate Victorian era. Hope you
enjoy!

New Work - Fly the Coop!
Here is a new piece of work I have recently finished, about the little people we see living in the trees and forests around us. You know what I'm talking about, right? Those little folk? What do you mean you never see them? Your just not looking hard enough!

New Work - Winter Maiden
I'm sure everyone over in the UK is sick and tired of wintery scenes at the moment but I'm actually feeling rather nostalgic for the snow laden British countryside of my youth. Which leads me to the subject of my latest and final illustration in a series of work entitled 'seasonal maidens':

New Work - Seasonal Maidens
I have been creating illustrations of 'ethereal maidens' for each season this year and have just completed one for Autumn, a rather blustery design which is fitting for the recent change in weather.
Just winter to complete now, with any luck I will post it before the year is out and then can look forward to ushering the spring again!
Here are all the designs so far (click to enlarge):
